Welcome to the 6th Annual CHM Fall Virtual Scholarly Activity Symposium! At this event, we will have several live virtual presentations starting at 1pm on October 29, 2025 followed by the recorded poster presentations that will be open for viewing from October 29 - November 12, 2025.
Poster Presentations
This is a virtual event in which presenters have pre-recorded 4-5 minute video presentations of their posters. Our presenters are CHM-affiliated medical students and residents from around the state of Michigan, presenting research, quality improvement, reviews, and case reports. Some of our presentations are "works-in-progress" which allows our presenters to receive feedback from the community.
Call for Abstracts
The abstract submission for the 2025 Symposium is now open. Please submit your abstract using the "2025 Fall Virtual Scholarly Activity Symposium" form on the CHM Student Research InfoReady site.
NOTE: You will have to log in with your MSU netID and password to access the form.
Abstracts are due on September 25, 2025 at 11:59pm.
Abstract requirements are as follows:
Abstract (including title and authors) can be no longer than one page.
Abstracts must include study title and all authors.
All author affiliations must be listed.
Do not include figures, tables, images, or references in the abstract.
Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in rejection of the abstract.
Next Steps
After submitting your abstract, you will record a 4-5 minute presentation of your poster (see examples below). You will receive instructions on how to do this, but typically the poster is shown on the screen and you narrate your presentation. The deadline for submitting a link to your presentation is October 15, 2025. You will also be required to submit a pdf of your poster. You will receive a notification with instructions prior to the deadline.
Select abstracts will be chosen for live, virtual, oral presentations starting at 1pm on October 29th. If you are selected, you will be notified by our team.
